  1. Yeah I'm in St. Louis too and it was pretty strong. I was laying in bed too. I yhought my dog had gotten out and was scratching and that's why my bed was shaking so bad. It all made sense when I got up and saw the news. I felt like the biggest idiot.

  2. I was sleeping and woke up to my whole bed shaking and the wind chime in my bathroom was going crazy! Somehow I knew it was an earthquake though I've never experienced one before.

    -Anderson, IN

  3. I live in Eastview Ky which is about 45 minutes south of Louisville.

I have 5 dogs and one of them was cting really funny last night. She kept grabbing at her ear and whining so I just thought she had an ear infection.

She ended up crying, howling and whining all night long and then at about the ladder part of 5am all of my dogs started howling like they had heard a siren so I got up and as I reached my front door everything started shaking. Pictures on my wall were raddeling and at first I didn't know what to think. I walked outside to check on my dogs and they were going nuts. By the time I got back into my home my husband was up and I quote his exact words "I asked God for a sign last night and I guess I got it!" I said nothing at that time because I was dumbfounded by what had just happened. I am 24 years old and I've never felt fear like that.

I am thankful that nothing bad happened, but now that I think about it, that was pretty cool to have experienced a Earth Quake in my lifetime.

  4. i felt it also   i was scared

  5. I'm in columbia, MO. Id didn't feel the initial quake b/c I was asleep, but felt 2 aftershocks this morning at work.

  6. I'm outside of St. Louis at one of the colleges down here and our entire dorm felt it. The doors were shaking along with the beds and all the noise woke everyone up.

It was really funny because one of the guys in our hall was high and didn't realize it was an earthquake. He thought he smoked bad pot. (NOT condoning the use of pot, just telling you how stupid it makes you.)

But now, we all are worried about our classes because we keep feeling the aftershocks while we're in them and it's just so weird...

  7. Sorry, didn't feel it in Montana but I watched the coverage on the news this morning.

  8. I asked a similar question.  Have you read the doomsday prediction about the New Madrid quake in 2008.  I'm no religious zealot but you should look it up.  Just put in Predictions New Madrid Quake.  Interesting. . .

  9. Welcome to our world! Here in California we get em every couple of years sometimes big mostly small. I'd much prefer having to deal with an infrequent earthquake than a tornado or hurricane...
