Should Be Going To Try And See The Northern Lights In Scotland This October, Just A Few Questions:

1) Where Abouts In Scotland Would Be The Best Place To See Them?

2) Will I See Them In October?

3) Am I More Likely To See Them In A Place Like Norway?

The most northern tip of Scotland is not far from Scandinavia. That's where you're most likely to see them (within Europe). You might see them in Scotland, but it's not guaranteed.

Wikipedia claims that "the aurora borealis most often occurs from September to October and from March to April."

Go in the highlands on a mountain side. Make sure you aren't near a town with lights shining. Listen to the wolfs(only if your near Allendale they have reintroduced the  wolf,bear,lynx,moose)

The Northern Lights - the Aorora Borealis - are viewed in lots of parts of Scotland . Have seen them from as far south as Glasgow .Much depends on the weather . Northern counties from Aberdeen to Caithness and the Orkneys and Shetland are the best viewing areas . October can be a good month weather wise . I'd forget Norway - booze is too expensive !
