O.k. we all know how sport can bring out the most amazing turn ups, and we are all biased when it comes to our team. Thats why we spend so much money in persuit of our teams. However could you imagine, all the pundits are wrong, all the form teams are off form and the outcome changes to believe the unbelievable.

Is this imaginable.

England beat Australia

France beat New Zealand

Fiji beat South Africa

Scotland beat Argentina

The semis would look like this

England v France

Fiji v Scotland

Who would you put in the final?

I know its hypathetical, but humour me

England would beat france 34 - 21

England (5 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty)

France (3 penalties, 4 drop goals)

Fiji would beat scotland 75 - 55 in a try fest

Final: Fiji win 36 - 35

Fiji open with 2 penalties, England hit back in a scoring blitz 10 mins before half time to score 3 converted tries, Fiji end the half with a drop goal, Fiji open the second half with a penalty before England strike back with a converted try (scored by a rolloing maul) with 20 minutes to go Fiji have their own dropgoal blitz scoring 4 drop goals and 2 penalties with 5 minutes to go England score another Converted try to lead 35 - 30 but Fiji hit back with a penalty and on the final buzzer land a drop goal off the wrong boot to win.  

Match summary: England tries were all scored by their forward pack and Fiji's Coach and their star kicker were knighted only weeks later for their heroic efforts.

If those 4 teams made the semi's, I'd have to assume that h**l has gotten a tad bit chilly so I'd bet on an England vs Fiji final with Fiji winning 15-14 (5 Fijian drop goals to 2 tries for England).
