contrary to popular belief, the u.s. was not founded on christianity. one could argue christian principles, but christianity can't exactly put a patent on principals. but to answer your question... that depends on what you want.

if you believe that the gov't should provide you with the basic necessities to have the best life, then france would be best. but if you believe those necessities are up to the individual to achieve himself, then america. i love both.
