Can anyone give me a summary of the book the power of myth?

Joseph Campbell's eminence can be readily found by net searches. Amongst other great works on mythology interpretation he wrote a 4-volume work "The Masks of God". In 1985-86 he featured in a videoed interview reputedly about 24 hours long condensed to a 6-part TV series called "the Power of Myth". The interviews took place at George Lucas' Skywalker ranch, by Bill Moyers. The book was produced as a result of an edited version of the full interviews (not just a transcript of the series), soon after Campbell's death in November 1987, although Campbell did read through and approve the drafts before his death.

The book is an excellent introduction to the great mind of Joseph Campbell.
