  1. Sorry but my wallet is too light to help on this question.  I wonder who here has been to these restaurants they listed.

  2. Banyan Tree Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar

  3. I've been to lunch at LeBua at State Tower Hotel. We had a set menu and mine cost only 900 baht ++ with a glass of white wine. May be it's lunch but that was when they just open the thing. The Oriental isn't so expensive as one thinks depending on what you order.

Most expensive restaurants I've been too actually are Chinese foods and usually somebody else pays so I wouldn't know the exact price, but the ones in the Oriental, and Grand Hyatt are quite expensive. There's another one at Gasorn Plaza. Prices however are for ten people and it's over 100,000 baht without drinks.

Otherwise, of course you can go for dinner with expensive wines and that would cost a lot for the wine I mean. Some bottle of wine cost outrageously like 200,000 baht (which you may be able to buy it from the wine shop less than half the price).

  4. I've been to many of them but while they may be the most expensive I would not agree that they are the best by any means

  5. I would say it's Le Normandie at the Oriental Hotel followed by Sirocco at La Bua's State Tower Dome.

  6. Le Normandie $120 set menu with wine

    Address: Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, Thailand

    Phone:  +66 (2) 659 9000

    Jacket/tie required for men

    Le Beaulieu $95

Address: Sukhumvit Soi 19, Bangkok, Thailand

    Phone:  662-204-2004

The question was what's the most expensive not the best.  K Bob you seem to be fishing for a free meal.  Next time I'm in town (if you have a jacket).

  7. Every year for the past two or three years, the LeBua at State Tower Hotel holds a week long event where they bring in some of the top 3-star Michelin chefs from Europe. On one of the nights they hold a 1,000,000 baht per person dinner. If you're buying, count me in.
