The new manga bakuman?

Have you read it yet? It's pretty cool. It brings in stuff from death note and hikaru no go. I hope that they will make it into manga volumes, or an anime.

Yes i have read the first chapter and im reading the second right now. I love it its an excellent manga. I hope it gets turned into an anime that would be awesome

I have read both chapters of Bakuman

so far. I really can't judge it yet because it

is still very new. However, I do agree that

the author should have stayed a little bit closer

to the genre of Death Note. All of the things

in Bakunan such as the romance does not appeal

very well to DN fans. I hope this manga turns out well,

but it really will dissapoint you if you expect something

like DN.

DN is my favourite anime/manga and it really changed a lot for me, because it made me get back into this stuff, but I really don't like Bakuman. I feel like people will praise it just because it's by the creators of Death Note.

I don't like it because the characters don't really appeal to me and even though the concept is somewhat unique, the creators don't really make it particularly interesting. I don't like the boy's love interest because it feels like he only likes her for looks, something else that I'm sick of seeing. Also something that bothered me about the second chapter was how weak his confrontation with his mother was. He got to have the girl he wanted AND his parents' approval so early?

I really expected better from the creators of DN.

I mean there are things that I like, some references and how I could relate being a lifelong fan of art, but this story just isn't anything special to me.
