Here is the scenario` The powers that be illegally invade a foreign country under the guise of toppling a non existent terrorist threat who they say have WMD capabilities` many don’t believe any of the so called evidence and oppose the invasion but they do it anyway and then find they are in a position where they can no longer justify the invasion in the first place and find themselves embroiled in a very costly no win situation with the choice of losing face by pulling out thereby leaving that country’s infrastructure in tatters and with its population divided and opposing each other.

1 Do they just pull out ` admit they were wrong and say sorry?

2 Do they create ( by proxy or otherwise) a major emergency elsewhere with the illusion the military is needed for a bigger threat! In which case it is a very dangerous game to be playing if the so called threat doesn’t want to play by your rules.

Edit:  Ok ok, I give you a response to your question.  The reason no one is answering is cause people are sick of people complaining about the war in Iraq.

Sure we didn't find the WMD's but hey you know Saddam was still a murdering dictator who slaughtered thousands of his own civilians because they opposed him.  Sounds like genocide and a violation of international law.  So sure we didn't find WMD's but hey he still needed to face the facts that you just can't slaughter your owncountry men and have nothing happen.
