The queen of england???

Ok, the queen is rich, but not filthy rich, so why are people making it out as if she is sooo extraordinarily rich when in reality she is not. She isn't even the richest woman in britain and doesn't even make it in the top ten richest royals in the world.

Most of the assets she has don't belong to her. Buckingham palace, the crown jewels and some of the various castles aren't even hers, they belong to the state. If you take a look at the world billionaires or the worlds richest people, she is waaay down the list. She may be royal, but its not the same as being filthy rich so why do people make it out as if she is so rich.

  1. You're perfectly right, and HM pays the entire revenues from the Royal Estates into the Treasury, taking only a small fraction out for the Civil List. On top of that, she pays income taxes, which must be quite hefty.

Quite unlike a good many millionaires and such, who manage to dodge paying taxes altogether. In any case, you can't have the head of state and representative of the country looking like a pauper.

  2. what is rich anyone with alot more money then me is.And that doesnt have to be much.

Money wise she isnt short of a bob or two. With all the money she gets from the country and buisnesses and how many do we know about.

At the end of the day she can afford a rich lifestyle so thats more than me so shes rich.

Unless your Bill gates then your looking down but iam looking up at them.

  3. i remember u giving a lousy & offensive answer to my question (Minors (teenagers/kids) during late night in movie theatres?)

oh god i was waiting for this a >> long time.

    its my turn now.

1> why the h**l do u care. u dont live with her do u?

2>stop talking about others Personal matters (financial assets are Personal). u got no right!!

3> i bet u feel the heat now.

PS:- if u dont have anything nice say, dont say it. dont throw stones at others, when u live in a glass house.

lol>> this will teach u lesson

  4. her private assets are what is counted when they do numbers for being rich or not, but like you said a good part of what she lives in, uses etc is owned by the COUNTRY,not the state.

But by pretty much any ones standard as none of this can be taken from her they are still "hers" if you see what I mean, she just can not sell them, just pass them down to the next in line.

Also some one said she pay's taxes.this has only been very recently that she has begun to do this and that was more or less at the grumbles of Joe Public [and quite rightly IMO]

But she does get a shed load of revenue from the country which goes into the royal coffers for her to dole out as she sees fit...................it used to be EVERYONE and their brother got a hefty cut but now she has cut that back a great deal.

She also owns a huge part of the UK, for which she gets rent and its a very handsome sum as well.

    regards

  5. She is one of the world's richest people.  I dunno how you got your information but I'd do more research before making such broad statements

  6. Nobody knows her true wealth

  7. What does it matter any way ? Do we as normal citizen profit from her money? No , not at all. They swander around their Yachts, go on Royal cruises. Look at her two spoiled grand son's Will and Harry. Spending thousand of pounds in night clubs and drinking all that hard liquor. So who are we kidden here?

  8. people post such things because they are ignorant and jealous ....AND in some cases because they simply have nothing better to do ......

AND you know .. for what wealth she does have.. I certainly would not swap my anonymity for it...

to have people who DON'T know me write so many horrible untruths about me and my family ..

people who have no right and probably are far far less people than she.
