Question:

The reason behind having Y!A?

earlier today I asked "what is the most wins that a team has ever gotten and not made the playoffs." (Igot the answers to that one) Someone that answered gave me a link to a website and said basically 'save the Y!A forum for more pertinent baseball questions...why didnt you look up the answer yourself.

Am I missing the point of Y!A? If we were all supposed to look up all the answers for ourself, wouldnt that defeat the purpose of Y!A in the first place? If you take away that all you will be left with are hypothetical or future telling questions. Am I wrong? or am i missing the point of this sight alltogether?

Thanks in advance for any answer

  1. Asking questions of historical import can encourage thought.  However, questions like "What's your favorite team?" or "What's the score?" are pointless.

I always try to help out the people who ask about local directions or attractions.

  2. there are people on here, who love to report question & answers, no matter how harmless they really are!!!!

  3. Forget those kind of people. Basically every question you will at least get 1 legit answer but probably more than 1.

  4. If one answer doesn't work, the other answers are probably better.

  5. well that person just thinks that people put stupid questions which other than continuos red sox-yankees questions...plus you dont have to look up answers like 75% (including me) like never do it anyway just go ahead and keep answering and asking and dont worry about trolls
