  1. I find that the easiest way to transfer a file is to upload it to a media host and download the file on the other computer or use an instant messenger's transfer protocol. Configuring a telnet server is much more difficult than uploading a file or transferring it using an instant messaging client.

  2. Here are my suggestions.

    1.Using FTP

    2. Using external hard

    3. Using cross-over cable to transfer file from 1pc to another.

    good luck!

  3. Depends on the size.

    10MB? email it to yourself.

100MB? upload it to free hosts such as megaupload, zshare, rapidshare, etc..

1GB? Split the files and still upload to free hosts, and/or if you have a server you can upload it to your own website.

1TB? lol gtfo thats too big.

  4. IM clients (like AOL and MSN) limit file transfers to very small sizes. Email it to yourself is a good way, but your ISP prob has a limit of about 5 or 10MB.  For anything larger go here:

They make it very simple.  That telnet stuff is prehistoric old-school.

    Good luck,

    Donk
