The stimulus check?

heeey everyone or whoever is reading this, most of you would think im too young to be looking into this situation, but just hear me out.

my mom was supposed to get this IRS stimulus check on the 11th.

well we havent gotten in yet, and i just knew that we wouldnt, but can anyone give me a little suport hear; somthing to look forward to.

you see, every time something good comes along it always ends up being canceled and i cant end up doing/getting it.

well in this case, that check is supposed to pay for my braces i was SUPPOSED to get a year ago, but my dad wouldnt pay cause he and my mom devorsed like when i was 1. but thats a different story.

all i need to know is if that check is coming or not and if i can look forward to it. i hear that somtimes it takes up to 10 days after the due date....idk, i just want support i guess

Most people are getting their checks on the Monday or Tuesday  the next week following the date on the letter.

I know where you are coming from. My family super needed the stimulus check. Everyone was getting theirs but ours didnt come. No big thing. I learned not to expect to much. But than we got a letter saying it would be sent out on Thursday, Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday went by. Surely it would be here by Monday right? No show. I was almost sick with worry over our bills. Tuesday it was in the mail box.  If you check the www. irs.gov website it tells you the date the check will be MAILED. Check the website and use the lasat two didgets of your moms social. ( i assume she filed single?)

Also, if your mom  owes back child support, back taxes, student loans or anthing else governmental like that they will take their share and if there is anything left will send it out to you. The bottom line is to hang in there. The world wont end if you dont get it. There are other ways to pay for those braces. Be patient. I know its hard.

my check came a few days after it was suppose to.. don't worry it will come.

Note that it will take the Postal Service a few days to deliver it after it is mailed, so if it is mailed according to the IRS schedule on 7/11, you may not get it until early in the week of 7/14.

Some rebate checks in a given SSN range go out earlier in the week, but there does not appear to be any recognizable pattern to predict which checks get mailed out earlier in the week.

The "due date" is the date it was supposed to be MAILED by, so it would be pretty surprising if your mom had gotten it already.  But if she got a letter saying hers would be mailed by 7/11, she'll probably get it in the next few days.

There can be lots of reasons though why hers wouldn't be in the mail yet but still coming, so don't give up yet even if it doesn't come this week.
