The theme of a quote?

"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Can someone tell me what the broad theme (such as happiness, dreams, loss, etc.) is in this quote? I'm stumped.

  1. A truly a good example for the above quote are the famous speeches of Winston Churchul, during the dark times when England alone was fighting against the despotic Hitler and his n***s.

Look at the inspirational words of this man, when there was no hope at all for England to win or even stand and fight. -

' we will fight on the beaches, we will fight on land and sea, we will never give up.'

Something in the man rises to face the challenge fearlessly, that is his worth.

Even the example of Jesus being on the cross, - which has saved the humanity , ' Forgive them O Lord, for they know not what they do.'

its a life for which one may say, -

" Even in rags I am a god.

       Fallen I am divine,

       High I triumph when down-trod,

       Long I live when slain."
