The top 3 right now?

after today's blowout at roland garros, shouldn't the top 3 players in the world be ranked in this order instead? 1. Rafael Nadal. 2. Noak Djokovic. 3. Roger Federer? in the last 5 grand slams, Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals on clay, the quarters on grass, runner up at the U.S., the champ in the Australian, and the semis on clay again. he's solid on all surfaces. Nadal, courtesy of having reached the semis Down Under and his win in Paris makes him the best so far this year, along with Djokovic. Federer hasn't won a Slam yet this year, so i don't think he can be classified as the number 1 player in the world, RIGHT NOW. your picks for these 3 in order?

If all tournaments are play on clay then Rafael Nadal should be #1 but wait till Wimbledon and the US open then ask this question again. Roger Federer got to the final of the French Open. Novak got to the semi final. Again Novak prove himself on hard court at the Australian Open but he hasn't prove himself on grass yet.

Rafa is the king of clay so at the moment he is obviously #1, Federer is supposedly the #2 clay player and then #3 Novak. Although, Novak is #1 on hard then Fed#2 and Rafa#3 On grass, i dont know they are all really good

Disregarding the actual rankings, I would have to say that Nadal is playing like the #1 player in the world.  I'd still put Federer at #2 out of respect, but Djokovic is right there with him at #3.  Mind you, this is based on how they are playing since the start of 2008, with more emphasis placed on their head-to-head matches, not their results over the past 52 weeks as the actual rankings reflect.

Ummm, Novak has made five consecutive SEMIFINALS.

Not quarters.

Nadal has yet to make a U.S. Open semi or make a Final at the Aussie Open, and he hasn't won on grass yet.

Having said that it's more like this:

1. Dead even tie between Roger and Novak

2. Nadal, and always will be, it's impossible for him to grab that #1 ranking.
