The weather in USA?

That happens with the whather in Usa? The Spain's TV news show me a extreme climatology between differents states

It is true. Our weather is crazy!

We get everything. Tornadoes have been recorded in every state and have even hit major cities. We get more tornadoes than any country in the world.

We also get hurricanes that hit the east coast and to the south were Florida and Texas are known as the Gulf of Mexico. Most hurricanes that form in the Atlantic hit the U.S. or the islands in the Carribean right below the U.S.

Thunderstorms, floods, it all happens here. We have some of the most costliest weather disasters in the world too.

The jet stream flows over Alaska and Canada then dips down through the Midwest states, then usually it swings up again through Maine and the East Coast. This is what causes huge differences in the climate and temperature in the USA. Also the Rocky Mountains cause a lot of rain and snow to fall on the leeward side (the side out of the wind) on the East side of the Rockys.
