The worms live after...

Can worm live after you cut it to the half?

I need to know if a worm can live after you cut it or not. and if they live alone in the land

If you cut an earthworm in half the head half will regenerate its tail.  The tail end is less likely to survive.  Earthworms live singley but in colonies.  The earth worm is a hermaphrodite and requires a second individual to mate but each individual fertilizes the other.

Why do you want to cut the worms. These chaps do a lot of good work for the earth and plants. Let them be, for the birds will take care of them.

If you cut off the tail the head end will sometimes grow a new tail only the worm will be shorter.  The tail half cannot grow a new head if it is removed.   It has no way to eat then and dies.

They live alone except when mating.

i think if you cut a worm in half it turns into two worms!

and i think they live with thier friends and family
