I have 22 month old twin boys and they like to take their diapers off. If I don't go and get them immediately when they wake up (were talking jump up off the toilet) they take their diapers off. I thought maybe they were ready to potty train but no luck with that. Help!!

  1. I think they are ready...i've they pee on the floor its no big deal right?? just mop it up.

keep a few potties about the house boys are harder.

Or they can see how daddy pee's, and they may copy.

When i trained my son, i didnt use a potty i thought it was useless. He just didnt get it.

I taught him how to stand and pee.

  2. This topic is very near and dear to me.  While I am not a parent, I have had lots of experience with this.  All of my nieces and nephew have gone through this stage before they began the toilet training process.  Some other people suggested for you to put your kids in zipper pajamas.  It is a good idea.  Right now, my niece can unzip her pajamas.  Her parents have to use a safety pin to keep her pajamas on.

  3. This isn't abnormal.  I suggest you put them in one piece pajamas so they can't get to their diapers.  If it were a poopy one, that would not be fun for you.  I don't know that this is a sign of anything except boredom and curiosity.

  4. Just compromise when they do something well by giving them a treat

  5. awww the naked stage..yes this is completely normal and usually is a first sign of wanting to potty train..they dont like the feeling anymore of being wet so normally they will either take it off before doing their business, or afterwards...but no rush..they will do it in their own time..in the meantine though try and keep pants on them...when my daughter started taking her diaper off i had to start puttingpants on her that were more difficult to for her to take off...saved alot of accidents...also just keep trying to take them to the potty..dont force them..but let them sit on it for a couple of minutes and just encourage using it.  good luck hun

  6. WELCOME to parenting!!  If I had a nickel for every time my son took his diaper off and ran around the house with it over his head jabbering...I'd be typing right now on a gold plated keyboard...lol

    All the best  :-)

  7. Make sure they're in tightly fitted pj's (better for preventing strangulation and they're flame retardant). If they are taking off the pj's, put on a zippered one that doesn't have feet, and put it on backwards. Problem solved :-)

  8. try putting underwear over the diapers worked for me i have twins 2

  9. HAHA

sorry, had to laugh.  YEP, they do that! lol.  It is a sign to begin potty training!

  10. I have 17mth old twin boys who do the same, they dont want to potty train sometimes they just sit there lookin at their boy bit lol i think with mine once they have peed they dont want a nappy on, they do it all the time and have done since around 11mths altho they r getting worse, even if  they r dry!!! I think its just wanting to be naked as they will totally  strip lol i get aronud it as they can manage to un do the popers on their vests yet but its only a matter of time

  11. It will just take time, and lots and lot of patience.

My stepsister did the same thing until she was two and half, almost three, except she would take off all her clothes. Whether we were in Wal-Mart, a grocery store, at home, church, or anywhere really, if you didn't have your eyes on her at all times, her clothes were coming off.
