  1. towels, lamps, window coverings, kitchen utensils, soap (dish, laundry), chairs, book shelves, plates, bowls, cups, end tables, tv or radio, .....

  2. Usually the boring things are forgotten.

cleaning supplies-dish liquid, cleansers (kitchen & bath), sponges, window cleaner, furniture polish, trash bags/cans

    (kitchen,bath,&outside).

bathroom items-toilet paper, personal items, clothes hamper

extras-hammer & nails (hanging pictures), s***w drivers (flathead & phillips-assemble furniture), other small tools, plastic/wood clothes hangers, clothes detergent/softner.

food items-convenience foods such as milk, bread, cheese, lunch meat, chips, anything you can easily throw in the

microwave, bag of ice, paper plates, cups, platic utensils (these are great when you are in the process of moving and need a quick bite).

  3. Purchase a pocket notebook and write down everything you currently use, but do not own. Don't forget the basics like TP, paper towels, soap etc. Carry the book with you at all times so you don't forget to write the items down.

  4. Don't worry if you have to go out and buy things after the move.  Most people forget little things - like cleaning supplies and garbage bags.
