Things to do when babysitting?

I babysit a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy...what are some activities we can do while im there?

I found the best thing to do is just to play with whatever they're playing. Not many older people do that so they love it.

A lot of girls her age love to be around you. They look up to you, and and want to play with you the ENTIRE TIME. The 3 year old, is, after all, still a semi-toddler, and will be wanting to be more independent. What I do when I babysit kids of that age is to go outside with a bunch of coloring books, construction paper, and maybe some paint. Let the 3 year old run around the backyard(be sure to keep one eye on him the whole time, though), and color and do crafts with the girl. Then maybe pick out a movie they would both like to sort of cool down before parents come home.

PS- Letting the kids help with simple snack preparation really excites them. Like allowing the two to put raisins on their "ants on a log". The 5 year old may be able to help spread the peanut butter on the celery.

Hm, watching a movie with them would be good.

Then a few games or something similar to that.

They would be pretty entertained with that.

kids love projects so whether it's just coloring, playing with clay, practicing writing their names, etc. they will love it. You can make things for their parents and the kiddos will have a blast doing that.
