Things to talk about?

When you first meet a girl, what do they like to talk about what would make them think I'm interesting? I'm absolutely clueless here. Obviously, I avoid classes & other boring subjects, but then what is there to talk about? I'd really appreciate the help.

Ask questions about her, and what she likes.

Do not talk to much about yourself, unless asked.

No one cares for someone who brags about themselves.

Tell her your favorite song is "Sweet Home Alabama."

What are your hobbies, what are her hobbies, what music do you like, what music do you like, what movies does she like, what movies do you like, what did she do today, what did you do today?

It ain't rocket science, but usually speaking for guys, it's easier to keep the conversation on her.

The key to great conversation is being genuinely interested in what the other person is saying.  If you are thinking too hard about what to talk about or always just waiting for your turn to speak, the conversation will go nowhere.

Ask her about her work, friends, family, what she's interested in or passionate about...just ask her about anything and pay attention to the answers. The conversation will flow naturally.

Or try asking about a big part of their life so there will lots to talk about hopefully.

dont talk to much about ur self. ask her questions, not NOSY questions, but like were u grow up? did u like it? have bros or sis'? etc .. simple questions ... ask her whats her fave thing to do make a second date out of it and take her to her favorite spot that she told u.

Talk about her.  Ask her questions about things she likes.  That's the easiest way to do it.

Get her to talk about herself.  What does she like, hobbies, movies.  When she is talking show your interest by asking more about what it is shes talking about or make comments.  Find something the two of you have in common.

Don't tell a bunch of far fetched stories to impress her.  That is such a turn off.  If push comes to shove tell her she looks nice in her outfit (don't go overboard otherwise you will come off as a closet case).

What does interest you? Where are you from, what do you find funny? The point is for the two of you to check each other out, right... so provide info that makes her want to know more, or share. And let her do the same, listen and be interested in her favourites.

red flag went up when i read the line "what would make them THINK i'm interesting" i think you should talk about what interest you and if it doesn't interest them then obviously ur not compatible anyway...i mean would u want to talk about the last cosmo issue w/sumone for hours? cuz i can read that sucker cover to cover but it would probably bore you if i talked to you about the fall fashion line no?

Something of interests duh... If you ain't got nutin to talk about with a person, that MEAN you ain't interested.

ask her things like

-what she likes to do

-what kind of music she likes (this includes asking her id she loves to party)

-what kind of food does she like

-ask her  if she likes sports

tell her things about your self like

-talk to her about what you like to do when your bored

-talk to her about what kind of music you like

things like that but dont make it everything about yourself it have to be half and half

Haha. Yeah, right.

Ask the girl about herself! People love talking about themselves.

Ask questions like:

"Where have you traveled?"

"Where were you born?"

"Do you like books/movies?"

"What are your hobbies?"

"Have you made any acheivements?"

"Favorite TV shows? Why?"

Trust me. Its foolproof. All you have to do is sit there and listen closely, and nod pay attention.

If you really want to talk, which can come across as annoying and rude if you do to much of it, answer the questions stated above, in statement form, to her.

I'd say at first- each other as in physically e.g nice top or umm you have nice eyes. Then get on to hobbies and interests and stuff like music films (sports) just don't leave awkward pauses :S
