Thinking about buying an ipod?

I'm thinking about buying an ipod, but i don't know if it will work on my computer because it is not a mac, or is the ipod still compatible with any kind of computer even if it is not an apple computer?

can i also download music from a non-apple computer?

It will work with PC as long as you have Windows XP or Vista. Then you just download iTunes and that's it!

Just to have an iPod/iTunes/Music..no, you don't need a Mac.  Only those who are developing software need one.

I have run a few different iPods on my Vista laptop and XP Desktop and never had a problem with any of them.
