Thinkpad button on my t23?

i have an ibm think pad model t23 and have had to replace the motherboard, as i brought the laptop as faulty i don't have any software, i have installed xp pro but what does the think pad button do? where could i find the stuff that supports this button? i could probably get this from ibm's site but as i don't know what it's supposed to do i don't know what to look for, can anyone help. many thanks.

ps this button is the black one not the blue if that's any help

  1. You need the keyboard utility drivers - select the ones you want from here;

    All the drivers are there too.
