For one, why is this question listed under Fantasy Sports?

And two, who in their right mind would agree to that trade, from Charlotte's point of view? They give up a younger player that is in the ballpark talent wise with Odom, CASH, AND the 20th pick?

I don't see how this trade favors either team.

Odom is a good all-around player who fits well into the triangle offense.  Plus why does LA need another center, especially one who can't score or shoot FT's?  Next year Bynum and Gasol are going to be one of best front court duo's in the league.  LA is built to win a championship now and there is no way Okafor would help.

Charlotte is building a young, athletic team.  Trading their draft pick won't help them in the long run.  Which is what they are building for.  Obviously, the Bobcats are still several years away from make any waves in the playoffs.  Odom might help provide guidance for the younger players, but he wouldn't make much of a difference in the win column.

why would charlotte do that? okafor is younger and lamar odom is good but not that good .even straight up i wouldnt do it if i was charlotte.
