This is one for the deniers.....?

Don't most of you think that the scientists do more than look out of the kitchen window to determine if global warming exists? So why do you keep posting questions like "it's snowing here what happened to global warming?". Also don't you think that as most of the information that you post is media related that you may as well start to quote lines and scenes from movies? It is about as credible as the information you post currently.

  1. In 1492 scientists said, "The world is flat".

  2. bout 30 years ago there was a really really big environmental scare.  It was all over the news day after day, people demonstrated in the streets.  Scientists had predicted we had ten years, if that.  People wanted laws passed to solve the problem, for the same things environmentalists are pushing for today -- we were using too much gasoline, cars were making too much pollution and were going to ruin the planet!

But 30 years ago the big environmental scare was Global Cooling.  A Second Ice Age, there would be total crop failures because it would be too cold to grow food and everyone in the Northern US and above would have to move to Central America.  There would be riots.  The Scientists had a big poster showing the Earth covered with ice called "Ice Planet".

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

Scientists know a good gravy train when they see one, get on Television, write books and get scientific grants.  They already used global cooling so now it's global warming.

Hot or cold, it's all the same bullshirt.

  3. It's cold outside Freddie.Real cold.It has been all winter.Give me warming Fred, and I will at least look at Global Warming with a unbiased view point.

But Freddie it's this cold outside..

    unseasonably cold.

And that is not just for my part of the earth.

When this changes I promise to join your side of the debate.

Until then, step outside into my world, and the weather, the temperature,THE REALTY,and you just might find yourself rethinking your position.

  4. Slow Poke - Scientists didn't say that the world was flat.

About 2000 years ago Eratosthenes measured the diameter of the Earth.  Once that was done there was a scientific consensus that the world was round.

Only ignorant "skeptics" who ignored the data said the Earth was flat.  The same is true for global warming.

    "climate science from climate scientists"

  5. Just like the science folks of the past told us that the earth was the center of the universe and was flat. They saw the same things as Galileo and Columbus.

  6. Don't worry, their childrens children will find out sooner or later...

  7. omg, this is so funny. I know that I am not answering your question but I am not a denier so I cant, but these answers are classic. The very first one mentions that they are looking outside and someone else starts talking about 1998 and not to mention it again..LOL..what has that got to do with anything?

But you are totally right, and I think that they know that they are wrong which is why they are all so angry.

The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation. The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.

A man who is in the habit of denial  will search for  grounds in favour of the belief which he finds in himself.

  8. No - Scientist at both NASA and Russia do the work and determined that the Sun is responsible for at least half of all warming on Earth.

"Global warming results not from the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, but from an unusually high level of solar radiation and a lengthy - almost throughout the last century - growth in its intensity," Abdusamatov told RIA Novosti in an interview.

"It is no secret that when they go up, temperatures in the world's oceans trigger the emission of large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. So the common view that man's industrial activity is a deciding factor in global warming has emerged from a misinterpretation of cause and effect relations."

    http://en.rian.ru/russia/20070115/590789...

Since the late 1970s, the amount of solar radiation the sun emits, during times of quiet sunspot activity, has increased by nearly .05 percent per decade, according to a NASA funded study.

"This trend is important because, if sustained over many decades, it could cause significant climate change," said Richard Willson, a researcher affiliated with NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University's Earth Institute, New York.

"Historical records of solar activity indicate that solar radiation has been increasing since the late 19th century. If a trend, comparable to the one found in this study, persisted throughout the 20th century, it would have provided a significant component of the global warming the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports to have occurred over the past 100 years," he said.

Yet self proclaimed experts dismiss the findings of certified scientist and make the claim that they know better and NASA scientist are just wrong.  They believe that man is responsible for all warming.

Why?  Why do they think they know better?

We need to get used to the fact that the movies are not a good source of information.  The Sun is a major contributer to global warming.  Man has very little impact on the climate.

  9. Than stop feeding us the bs line that 1998 is the warmest year on record ever. If it has nothing to do with temperature than I don't want to see that again...

  10. you global warming crazies are the biggest bunch of evangelist whackos i've ever encountered.  if you just didn't hate the thought of believing in god, you wouldn't be so in love with the thought of making sure WE all believe in global warming

  11. http://www.ssmi.com/rss_research/climate...

    why am I not worried?

Global warming is a big yawn.

When the warmers start getting equally offended by the "its hot here. This must be global warming", then we'll talk.
