  1. T/C has always made a very nice rifle and the Icon is no exception. The Icon is also certainly available in .243. I purchased an Icon .308 about 6 months ago and its as nice as the Ruger, Savage, and Remington rifles as own. Maybe even a little nicer. I think like everything else with a rifle, ultimately it comes down to personal preference. I like my Savage 10FP better than any of my other bolt-actions, but it may not be the right rifle for you. The Icon is a bit pricey when compared to some of the others out there, but if you like it, I say go with it.

  2. The new T/C Icon is nice, I ordered and sold one a few weeks ago in 308. The fit and finish was excellent. Walnut & Stainless.

I have seen a few advertisements of dealers who have a few "Of the hard to get T/C Icon rifles"...They are also sticking it to the consumer with a sharp mark up (I suspect because it is new).

T/C Icon is a nice rifle, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
