Throat Issues.................?

Lately my throat and just head in general has been going completely bug-****. My left gland was swollen which went down in about 3 days, then a couple weeks later the right one did it and went down in the same time. Now it feels like my tonsils are swollen and I get random pains in the top my neck. My throat also seems to dry out easily. My throat doesn't hurt though and when it does, swallowing/breathing has no effect, it just randomly hurts. I refuse to go to the doctor because I have an irrational fear of having stuff shoved in my mouth (tongue depressors, throat cultures, etc). So if anyone can convince me it's not something serious, I'd be very happy. This has been going on for about 3 days.

My husband had something similar happen and it turned out to be his uvula. That is the thing that hangs down in the  back of your throat. a decongestant will help clear it up, however if it gets worse i would have it checked. I hope you feel better!
