Time Warner DVD Operating System?

Question

Is anyone else out there having issues with the "NEW" Operating system on the DVR boxes? I can never be sure if anything is going to record. Can I go back to the old system? What is the advantage of the new system? The timewarner phone people know my pain and have personal pain on the new system as well.
