  1. Tingling in an extremity can be a symptom of many things. Worse first; Nerve injury. Neck injuries, neck strain, also sleeping in one position that puts pressure on a nerve can cause these symptoms.

Do you have any weakness with it? Ask someone to let you squeeze two fingers on each of their hands as hard as you can ( have them take off rings) Your grips should be equal. ( squeezing only two fingers should prevent you from hurting them) If you do have weakness, better get to MD for evaluation.

    Other possibilities, insect stings.

  2. I had one for about six months on both arms but only when I was resting in a certain. I could bend my chin downward and the tingling would go away. My thumb would also go numb. Went for x-rays but never heard from them. Dr. said probably a "stinger", but the numb thumb sounds like a pinched nerve. He gave me Montrin 6, and a muscle relaxer. Tingling stopped in a few days but neck still hurts, and still sore.
