Tiny t4 hex s***w stripped?

Question

Working on my mp3 player and stripped the h**l out of the s***w, it's really tiny and the metal seems to made of some crappy material that 'shaves' off easy. The whole s***w inside seems to be stripped.

Is there anything I can buy to remove this or any known way, I really can't drill the s***w out because it's so tiny and everything around it is plastic, might break something.

Any ideas?

they do sell some incredibly small drill bits that might work for drilling it out. like you said you would have to be really careful but the s***w extraction kits don't come with tips for something that small. you might try taking it to a watch repair shop. they have all of those really small screwdrivers and might have a specialty tool for just such this situation.

Your best bet is to drill it (with a left handed drill bit) or find a tool store that would carry a s***w extraction kit. Some brands come with left handed drill bits. If you are lucky, while you are drilling, it will grab the s***w and actually unscrew it for you. The last set I bought like this was through Snap-on about 10 years ago.
