I found a raleigh rampar bicycle a month or two ago and it is in very good condition and rideable. Other then a problem with the rear derailur the only thing wrong with it is what seems to be a bump in the tire. I can't tell if its the tube or the tire itself but the rim is not bent. It just appeas that there is a flat spot or a bump in the tire. The bike could have been sitting a while so maybe thats it? any help is appreciated thanks

  1. It's a weak spot in the tyre where the rubber has become worn and the tube is bulging out. Discard the tyre and get a new one as it might be unsafe to ride with it. For the small price it costs to replace a tyre the risk isn't worth it.

  2. I think it would be the tube. Take the wheel and tyre off and examine it. It is probably twisted, or it may have rotted so that a section of the inner tube cannot be inflated. It could also be the tyre, but somehow I doubt it.
