To be free....?

I'm european and I have got a question...Are you free in India??...because I often hear that in India there isn't a freedom...

Definition of freedom for a european is different then Indian

Freedom is the way you feel free.

Your Society has some acceptable behaviour which is not approved in our society. You may call it Slavery

You may have been  permitted to have open s*x, Kiss females on lips in open in europe. This is the reason that girls in europe loosse their virginity at a tender age

But we dont permit this as such acts may have bad effect on children

"cochinho1991",I am sure you have laws in the country where you live.If I come to your country and break them,will they put me in jail or allow me to go free?Then we can decide whether we have freedom in India.

If you're a European, you pretty much have all the freedom there because you weren't born into the caste system and you're considered rich. Look out for some racial prejudice though...

hmm... yes have to agree with you, but not as bad as media projects it. well i thought i was very free in India b4 i came out of there and saw for real what positive effects can freedom have on people. There are so many restrictions on people especially girls, you are expected to wear certain types of clothes, talk in a certain way, no traveling alone and there are a lot of people who poke their nose in your matters. If a girl is married then she is expected to do all the household chores, never answer back to her in laws even when they are hurting her badly, expected to go out and work as well as work their butt off at homes, expected to have children within a year or two of marriage, girls dont have much of a choice.

Personal freedom lacks in our country, we live for others "what will they think" not for ourselves or even our family. too much importance for an idiotic social system.
