To kill a mockingbird- Dill?

What was the defining moment for Dill Harris In To kill a Mocking bird. When all of his chARACTER CAME out and you really understand the meaning of what he is in the story for. Please help

I think when he met Boo Riley, after he was almost killed and Boo saved him . I think . Interesting question, i have not read that book in years.****, you have started something, now i have to go and read the d**n book again.
