To small??????

Question

I just got a new baby dwarf hamster. He is smaller than a peanut. He is so cut. Well, any way I was wondering if this cage is too small for him. His name is Biscuit. I got him yesterday. At Pet Supplies "Plus". I would give you a pic of him but I don't have one yet. Here is the cage.

smaller than a peanut?!

how old is he? that sounds WAY too young to be taken away from its mommy.....

is he eating ok? just make sure he is eating ok, otherwise he may have been taken away from weening too early!

that cage is perfect for any size hamster.. i have my mice in it and they love it.

I think that this should be fine for a dwarf hamster, but I would invest in some of those interlocking tubes and tunnels so your hammie doesn't get bored.

dwarf hamsters shouldnt be smaller than a peanut, if it is, then its probably still a baby and it shouldnt be away from its mother. http://z.about.com/d/exoticpets/1/0/E/9/...

That looks like a great cage for him, very fun for him with all that climbing. Is there a wheel though?

Round cages will cause your hamster stress - they use corners for all kinds of things - directions, potty, etc. It's also WAY TOO SMALL for any living creature. Impractical to remove your pet from, poor venilation and difficult to clean.

Keeping your pet in a cage that will cause it stress and is to small will likely result in a biting pet that is prone to illness.

In the wild hamsters travel MILES at night - you want as large of a cage as possible.
