Tomtom or ghamin?

which one would you choose and why?

I like the look of Tom Tom but I bought a Garmin because it was at a good price and came preloaded with European and UK mapping and was not too big. I have tried it out a few times and entered the post code for a restaurant in the South of France and it showed exactly the location most impressed,

(the post code comes before the town) not as the UK. Altough it can pin point you accurately it sometimes goes wrong a little at the end and think this is due to the post code being a little imprecise. I  have heard good reports about both. The Garmin has Bluetooth and can sound a bit tinny and other features which I will never use, but all in all I rate it as useful. If it navigates me to the South of France with out taking me via some farm track or down a dead end I will be more than pleased. Good luck with your choice

Garmin, simply because they are the best. TomTom is a cheap and iffy alternative.  Had one, took it back for a Garmin, happy I did!  Got it at digitaldealz.net
