The Germany international midfielder is unhappy with his bit part role in Die Mannschaft.
The Bayern Munich youngster has expressed his displeasure at watching his team play from the substitute’s bench.
The former Germany youth player enjoyed a good season in the Bundesliga as he made 51 appearances and scored seven goals from the midfield for the Bavarian giants in all competitions.
Die Mannschaft won both of their matches opening matches in the ‘Group B’ dubbed as the group of death. From those 180 minutes, Kroos has only played for twelve minutes in Joachim Low’s side. The Bayern Munich attacking midfielder
is frustrated with this new bench role which he is not used to.
The midfielder believes he should be getting more playing time, considering his performances for Bayern last season.
"It is not satisfying. Especially after the season I had, it would only be logical that I want to play." Kroos is quoted as saying in an interview.
The 22-year old states that, although Germany have won all of their matches but their football was not particularly exciting. He thinks Joachim Low’s side have been labouring results and sacrificing style for substance.
"We have won twice, but I would not say that we have played excellent football," he added.
Lack of playing time for Kroos is not exactly due to some rift with his coach, but it is the sensational form that his club teammate Schweinsteiger is in. The 27-year old has been instrumental in his side’s victories. He provided
two crucial assists for Mario Gomez’s goals against Netherlands.
Joachim Low is likely to rotate his starting line up, so Kroos is likely to play a part in Die Mannschaft’s final group game against Denmark. As the tournament progresses, the Bayern starlet will get a lot of chances as Low’s will
be worried about the fitness of his player due to warm conditions.
Kroos will have to wait for his chance as sulking will have no affect on Schweinsteiger’s form. Germany have one foot in the quarter finals and will look to seal their place in the next round by beating Morten Olsen’s side, who
dropped three crucial points against Portugal.
