  1. no, a lot of people dont apply untill theyv started their course

  2. No, you may have missed the deadline but that just means that student support have longer than 6 weeks to finalise your application for finance. You can apply until the end of may 09.

  3. You can go to

    http://www.all-about-scholarship.com

    it's about scholarships/grants information

    or

    http://www.student-loans-choices.com

    it's about student loans information.

    Good luck

  4. No i dont think so.  Well i hope not as I havent got round to it yet i think you just need to do it as soon as you can.

    Check the ema website.

  5. Not really, it means you'll get it late I guess.

The deadline is June 27 so two days, you can also apply on line and then send of your ID which you can do today.

  6. No. The PN1 form which applies for your student loan, and maintenance grant has to be in by the 26th in order for you to get your money by the start of term. But you can still apply after that date. You can download all the forms on the website and print them off, and if you fill them in today and put a first class stamp on them they should get there just in the nick of time!

There is also a special support grant available and disabled student allowance if you have an illness of any kind, including mental health. If you are accepted for special support grant you won't get maintenance grant.  To apply for special support grant you just write on a piece of paper which category you think you fall into (the options are listed in the notes accompanying the PN1 form), or alternatively download a 1-page form with  tick boxes on.

The disabled student allowance has a separate form which you can download.

I will help you a bit because I have just filled in all my forms. You will need evidence of the following:

    * Your date and place of birth. Your birth certificate proves this, but to back this up you must download a birth certificate form off the website, and fill it in. Someone else must fill in the other side- an adult friend perhaps. They'll need to know their passport number.

    * You must provide evidence of your parent's divorce if they have divorced, by photocopying their decree absolute.

    * You must provide evidence of any illness you are saying you have in order to apply for special support grant or disabled student allowance, for example a doctor's note, or report or something.

You send the forms to your local authority- the council. If you get the forms from a college the address will be stuck on the back, but if you download them you'll have to search the online list for the address.
