Last week I went and got some cavities filled... and my dentist kind of went out of the super numb area to work on a tooth, it was kind of numb but it hurt really bad... It is really sensitive and it hurts estremely badly... I am wondering if it will go away, or will it just keep hurting? I have taken some tylenol and it relieved the pain... but now its to the point that I dont want to eat at all because it hurts way to bad... What should i do?

  1. Just put some salt in the hot water and gaggle two time a day .

  2. I had this problem before, you should just wait until the pain stops. That what I did and start eating some soft food.

  3. you may have an infection and that will need antibiotics - please don't leave it, I had an infection which spread to my jaw after having wisdom teeth removed and it was agonizing.

In the mean time do keep taking painkillers and try holding salt water in your mouth at intervals.

Good luck, hope this helps x*x

  4. Oragel!

It simply numbs the area you apply it too, so you can eat again!

(but its only part-time, you might want to go back to the dentist as soon as you can)

Here's the Oragel website below...read up!

    Goodluck!

  5. Hopefully the dentist you went to wouldn't have filled a tooth with the suspicion of an abscess. First place to start is the bite. Gently close together in your regular bite. Does it feel like the teeth that he filled are hitting maybe a little sooner? If so he left the fillings too high. When you bite down or chew those teeth are taking the brunt of it and the bone is being bruised around the teeth causing the sensitivity. All he has to to do is take a hand piece and reduce them a bit. You don't have to be numb. If your tooth is sens to hot and cold and initiates pain (it just starts thumping and you don't even have to do anything to it) then the decay before he filled it got into the nerve chamber and you will need a root canal in order to save the tooth. Call the dentist office and let them know the story. If you leave it this way with the hopes of it getting better, you will be way worse off later.

  6. For temporary releafe, use numbing gel. It works trust me. Sorry for not being able to answer ur question tho. Hope you feel better.
