Topping up a 02 Genie Sims?

I have an 02 Genie Sim now for years and i have always put in 1 ten pound top up and gotten my free 300 texts. But these are running out on me now 2 weeks before ill be getting them again.

So recently i have been toping up £20 (ten pound at a time) to last me to the other texts come through ( basically i would be going through £10 a week)

I dont want a contract mobile as im always changing my mobile.

I was wondering if you can top up more than £10 when i am ment to and will i get more free texts?

If i remember right but if you call 2202 from your O2 phone (free) you can get more info the tarriffs, get free mins instead etc

Hi. When you top up by £10 on separate occasions during the month,O2 carries the second top up onto the next month. Better off just topping up £15 in one go each month.

Text BALANCE free to 20202, the reply message will tell you what tariff you're on, how much of it you have left and when it expires. Sounds like you're on the Text Anytime tariff. There's been some changes to this over the past few years so maybe you haven't updated yours yet, that's why you're not getting any extra texts 'cos on this tariff

£10 - £14 = 300 texts

£15 - £29 = 500 texts

£30+ = Unlimited texts

You have to top up all in one go though, depending on how many texts you want in that month. Like if you want 500 then top up £15 - £29 in one go, not like £10 + £5 'cos the initial top up is what they give you for that month, i.e. £10 = 300 texts. And if you topped up only £10 this month to get 300 texts, and they ran out so you topped up more (e.g. £10 more) then you'll be using that credit for any extra texts and if you don't top up again, that £10 is gonna go towards 300 texts for the next month UNLESS you top up more (e.g. another £10 more) = total £20 towards 500 texts for next month. It might be easier that when your free texts finish, just top up £15 in one go which will go towards the 500 texts for next month. Lol hope all that makes sense??

They have a newer tariff called O2 Unlimited, which gives you Unlimited free texts to all O2 numbers with a £10 top up and Unlimited calls and texts to all O2 numbers with a £15 top up.
