Toshiba HD A2Ku

Question

I was wondering if someone could help me, I just bought a Toshiba HD-A2KU DVD player and I am having a problem with it already. I plug everything in to the T.V. and DVD player, Turn the unit on and thats as far as I get. All the player says is Welcome ad nothing shows on the T.V. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? If anyone can help me please IM me!
