Tourist information for Panama?

We just won a 1 week trip to Panama at a fund raiser.

What should a first time visitor to Panama need to know. Pros/Cons and recommended places to visit/avoid?

As hotel accomendations are concerned, I highly do suggest that you do stay at these two hotels, Gamboa and Inter - Continental Playa Bonita Resort and Spa. in which for hotel reservations it has to be done thru a professional agent like me.

You should visit the following places:

The Canal of Panama

The Free Zone (or in Spanish it is Zona Libre)

The ruins of Henry Morgan.

The Church of Gold.

Casco Viejo

Old Panama (or Panama Viejo)

The shopping malls are a must specially if there is one in Punta Paitilla that is called " Multicentro" and that there is another one, only 10 minutes away by car, called Multi Plaza in which there are plenty of department store at price of the States.
