Track time?

Does anyone know the average mile time for a male freshman who's in track?

I'm in 8th grade and about too start 9th grade.

I'm running mine at 5:01 ish currently. Fastest in 8th grade.

There's one other kid in 9th grade, about too be in 10th, currently who's running a 4:50 mile. There's 4 other kids who are decent averaging around 5:20 mile.

I'd work on 5:30 if you haven't ran much. Running long distances sometimes will help you increase your mile time also =]

Yeah, anything below 5, and you're pretty much set. That's sorta a lofty goal, though. For an average, 5:45 to 6:30 is probably about normal.
