'Tradedoubler'

A few weeks ago an uninvited guest appeared on my computer called 'Tradedoubler'. It appears as a blank page when I click on a banner to confirm entry into some competitions displacing the subject in the address bar. I tried looking it up on the net but all I got was a blank page again. Seems a bit pointless to me.
