  1. Many marathon programs do have you increase 1 mile per week... but only on 1 long run per week. Your daily mileage generally  wouldn't stay exactly the same every day of the week. Most training programs get up to a 20 mile long run. Imagine trying to run 5- 20 mile runs in a week. Completely unnecessary.

Try looking into already established and time tested marathon training programs.

Hal Higdon has one. Jeff Galloway has another. And there are several books out with great programs. Look into one of those. They are  designed to get you through the marathon with less chance of injury and designed to give you enough rest.

  2. No, that's a bad plan.  It's way too much distance and you're not varying your distances.  The program I'm running this year for the Falmouth Marathon looks like this:

    Mon - Off

    Tues - 4 miles

    Wed - 6 miles

    Thurs - 4 miles

    Fri - Crosstrain

    Sat - Off

    Sun -14 miles

    Next week is

    Off

    5 miles

    7 miles

    5 miles

    Cross

    Off

    15 miles

They have books written for specific skill sets of runners.  Get a book and follow that program.  Don't experiment and come up with your own stuff, you'll end up hurting yourself or being undertrained.

  3. Up to about 7 miles a day, then you have to start taking days off and doing one or two long runs a week and one or two shorter runs.
