Train ticket question..?

I have a return ticket up to Luton, although i most likely wont be able to get back up there by the time it runs out. To get there, i need to get on the london bridge train. I need to get to london next week, but i need to get off on the stop before london then later get back on that same train and continue to london. I was wondering if i could use the same ticket as its the same train, and just reuse that ticket to continue my journey later on. I hope this makes sense. In other words will i be able to get off at a certian station on the way to london and then later get back on and get to london with the same ticket, even though the ticket is to luton.

as long as you are on the return portion of your journey and not your outward portion then yes you are allowed to break your journey, making sure that you ticket is also via London, if not it should say "route not london" long as you use your journey before the expiry date.

and don't worry the staff will not "frown at you" conditions of carriage state that you are allowed a break of journey on the return portion of your ticket.even over night and even if you are not going as far as your original destination, you have paid to get to Luton if you do not wish to get that far, then it is your choice.

You'll be frowned upon by rail staff for "breaking your journey" but if you are paid all the way they can't stop you.

PS - you'll have to find a staff memer at the stop off station cos your ticket won't let you through the barrier.

it depends what sort of ticket it is. If you've booked for that one particular train/ journey, ..i.e. say a 10am one. You won't be able to use it for an 11am one
