Trains from Alicante to Granada?

I'm flying to Alicante next week and I need to know if there's a train link to Granada? I know it's mountainous so maybe its not direct but any info would be appreciated!

  1. No direct trains.

    You need to go Alacant - Albacete then Albacete - Granada.

    Its an hour between Alacant and Albacete (Hourly trains) then SIX hours between Albacete and Granada.... (two trains daily, one is an overnighter)

    Prices and timings are on the website www.renfe.es
