  1. GO to VICTORIA STATION.. and ask the TICKET AGENT how much the trip is... then take the train to PARIS.. then change to the train going to Spain... LEAVE the train at the BORDER and board an Spanish Railway train and take that to Barcelona.

It's about 30 hours total... just like your Thomas Cook RAILWAY TIMETABLE SAYS... you DO have the Cook Timetable... right?

  2. Try the eurostar website.

  3. I do not know why some people still insist that the Thomas Cook timetable is the best, if a web search gives a connection in much less than half the time.

Maybe said person can not read?

If you leave London 15:30 you can be in Barcelona the next day 8:24, taking nearly 16 hours.

The 'only' change you have to make is in Paris, from Paris Nord Eurostar to Paris Austerlitz.

The fastest connection I have found is a daytime one, leaving London 08:53 arriving in Barcelona 21:45, you will have to change more often, but as neither change is in Paris itself, it comes down to the same.

    Maybe even easier.

This travel takes a little less than 12 hours.

I used the German Rail planner in English, which could find me times but not prices.

They would depend on which train you take, on which day and how lucky you are in getting the cheap tickets.

This site is able to help you to buy the ticket, and will tell you how:

If the link does not work, try http://www.seat61.com/

In the bar on the left you will find 'how to buy European train tickets.
