  1. you can't

unless you have a video (not sure about ipod classic though)

well you might be able to ssh if you have an itouch

  2. itune blocks this function since itune is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There're couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.

  3. Hi i just finished transferring music off of my ipod to my itunes. The best and easiest way for me was to download a freeware called IDUMP.You don't have to pay in order to download it. Its easy, anyone can do it.

    - just plug in your ipod.

    -open the idump

-select the songs you want to transfer

-then pick a destination directory (ex. desktop, my music....)

-then you can import the folder to your itunes.

There are also other ways, step by step transfer

you can go to these sites:

    http://lifehacker.com/software/ipod/how-...

    http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/ipodsu...

it worked for me, so hopefully it will help you. GOOD LUCK

  4. If you have a PC, you can "Enable Disk Access" then open the IPod Disk that appears in your "My Computer"

Go to Tools, Folder Options then click the "Show hidden files and folders item"

Look in the IpodControl folder, you should see various folders including music.

You can copy and past these back into Itunes.
