  1. What about walking? It's a wonderful way and you can see many of "must see" places of Rome, during this road.

  2. The subway is the best way to go but it is very danger because of the pick pocketers. You take the blue line from the colosseum (colosseo in Italian) to Cipro-Musei Vaticani on the red line. The blue and red line meet at the Termini that is where you get off and switch trains. Just read the signs you can make the Italian out. But the pick pocketers are really really bad watch all your stuff. The tickets are cheap to. Or they have this double decker bus which is like E20 for all day but it takes you all over the city and you can hop on and off all day long. I live in Italy and have been to Rome more times than I can count so if you need anymore help let me know.

  3. Bus Line 64 will take you directly form the St. Peter's Square to Termini station.  You can get off near Piazza Venezia if you'd like to go to the Roman Forum or the Coloseum.
