Trash cans in the garage

Is it sanitary to keep your trash cans in the garage?

We have kept our trash cans in the garage for 15 years and have never had any problems.  Trash cans kept outdoors are very attractive to both wildlife and neighborhood pets.  This leads to the contents being strewn everywhere and that is certainly not pretty and not sanitary.

Yes, as long as your trash can has a good sealed top.

As long as you keep the cans sanitized and only put bagged garbage inside them.
