Travel addicts????????????

Question

1)why do people become travel addicts?

2)do you think they are looking for something or running away from something?

3)why are travellers' friends and family often not interested in their experiences?

4)could you become a travel addicts?

1) To see new places and meet new people

2) Both.  Looking for different ways of life, new places, and new people.  Getting away from the everyday stress of life.

3)  Don't know, never had that happen.

4)  I already am, so are my parents.

I have been to over 30: or so countries over the years and only a couple i would not want to go back to.

1. because once you pop, you can't stop. you always have to see somewhere new at very least once a year.

2. neither, its not running away if you're coming back, and its not looking if you're not sure what's there. it just is. can't really describe it any better than that. its an adventure.

3. actually, for the most part they are very interested. unless perhaps you have jealous friends or family, which would most likely be a downer. but i've never had any negativity from mine, they are always  the one's insisting i open up my laptop and show them pics.

4. could you? of course. you don't have to be rich like some think. you just have to make certain sacrifices to make sure you have the money to do your trip. some people like to pay for cars they can't afford, i like to see the world.

I used to be one. I went to 26 countries in like 5 years.  I lived in 3 of them. I dunno...there is something strange there.

Sometimes I feel more at home in new and strange cities than I do at my "home". I don't even know what a home is really.

My friend's and family often travelled as often as I did, most less so, we didn't care to ask often because we had either been to where they went or already knew what it was like from having experienced other places similar to it.

Honestly it is an odd but refreshing feeling to get to the point where you can get off a plane or boat or train in a place you have never seen before and know exactly where most of the places in the town are (from maps) and know where the cheap places to stay are (or even know random people you met other places who live there) and know where to eat and how much cabs should cost........it just happens....the language thing is usually the biggest problem but you aren't in one place long enough for it to matter or you learn to communicate other ways.

when I came to college I wasn't able to afford it mostly because of time, not money....

I stopped...

It bugs me so much but I have to finish.....I am so stuck I don't even know or care where I go now, I usually just want to go....

If someone askes me on a road trip I don't even hesitate anymore to say yes...

I need to go back overseas....

My parents are moving to hong kong, I am so jealous of them!

i am a travel addict and defo running away from everything and want to see everything think its seeing the world we live in inspires to travel more....

Not only do I love to travel, but also work in the travel industry. Because I have been to many countries, I can pass on my knowledge to customers wanting to travel abroad and the customers appreciate the fact you know something, rather than speaking on something you've read in a brochure.

friends are jealous, family is pissed I am spending all ther money BEFORE I DIE.
